APACHE A Constraint Based, Automated Stand Allocation System

چکیده

In this paper we describe APACHE (Airport Parking Assignment in a Constrain[ Handling Environment), an automated stand allocation system for large airports with several terminals. Different types of constraints, e.g. parking restrictions, safety/security requirements, preferred terminals ind resource allocation for ground movements can be combined and are taken automatically into account. Constraints can be either imperative, i.e. they must be satisfied, or preferences,i.e. they should be satisfied if possible. The system searches for minimal resource usage and maximal passenger flow through direct contact gates.

DISTRIBUTED CONSTRAINT OPTIMIZATION FOR MULTIAGENT SYSTEMS by Pragnesh

To coordinate effectively, multiple agents must reason and communicate about the interactions between their individual local decisions. Distributed planning, distributed scheduling, distributed resource allocation and distributed task allocation are some examples of multiagent problems where such reasoning is required. In order to represent these types of automated reasoning problems, researche...

The CloudMIG Approach: Model-Based Migration of Software Systems to Cloud-Optimized Applications

Cloud computing provides means for reducing overand under-provisioning through enabling a highly flexible resource allocation. Running an existing software system on a cloud computing basis can involve extensive reengineering activities during the migration. To reduce the correspondent effort, it is often possible to deploy an existing system widely unmodified in IaaS VM instances. However, thi...

Optimal portfolio allocation with imposed price limit constraint

Daily price limits are adopted by many securities exchanges in countries such as the USA, Canada, Japan and various other countries in Europe and Asia, in order to increase the stability of the financial market. These limits confine the price of the financial asset during all trading stages of any trading day to a range, usually determined based on the previous day’s closing price. In this pape...
